The Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) belt hosts over 600 pharmaceutical manufacturing units across the EPIP and HPSIDC industrial areas — one of the largest pharma clusters in Asia, spanning Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh along NH-21A. For an AHU and clean-room manufacturer, location is logistics: our facility sits on the Pinjore-Nalagarh road, roughly 30 km from Baddi, which means site survey, installation and post-commissioning service visits happen the same day — not on a freight schedule from another state.
Why now: India’s revised Schedule M (2023) requires pharmaceutical AHUs and clean-room zones to be requalified to EU-GMP Class C/D, with HEPA-filtered airflow, defined pressure cascades and ISO 14644 particle qualification. Compliance deadlines for large and MSME manufacturers have now passed and CDSCO inspections are intensifying. For BBN’s formulation and OSD plants, the pressure-heavy items are corridor-to-room cascades and air changes in granulation, compression and coating suites.

BBN is dominated by oral-solid-dosage and formulation lines, where tablet, capsule and coating areas need tight air-change rates and dust containment. Every air handling unit is built to a detailed drawing and technical specification, sized to the application, using a heavy-duty aluminium thermal-break casing, double-skin panels with PUF infill for low-noise operation, and AMCA-certified airfoil / backward-curved blowers that are performance- and noise-tested before dispatch.

Most Baddi requirements are Class C/D formulation suites and granulation/coating rooms with dedicated dust-extraction interfaces. GPSP modular partition panels (40–100 mm, zinc 100–120 gsm) in PUF, honeycomb or high-density mineral wool; walk-on load-bearing ceilings and complete modular OT shells; flush windows; and clean-room doors that do not swell, warp, rust or harbour bacteria — in GPSP and stainless steel, with food-grade silicon gaskets.

For BBN formulation plants, requalification typically centres on air changes, filter integrity and pressure cascades between processing and corridor zones. We run the seven tests by the book: airflow pattern, room air-changes-per-hour, HEPA filter integrity (leak test), inter-room pressure differentials, particle count / ISO class qualification, recovery test, and temperature & RH mapping — with IQ/OQ/PQ documentation suitable for Baddi plants facing CDSCO and customer audits.
